Style Rules Part 2: Prints

 

Welcome back to the style rules series. Today we're talking about wearing prints. (Catch part 1 here.)
Adding prints to an ensemble creates interest. Make that piece a focal point for the outfit, otherwise it can look busy. A pair of leopard skinnies with solid top and sandals, or a striped blazer with plain white tee and trouser jeans do the trick.
 
Here are some examples: 



I love this outfit! The skirt is the perfect length  and pattern. The fitted top is within the gray color palatte but not too matchy.

Polka dots! I love that she brought focus all on top with the pattern and pop of pink.

Everyone loves princess style. She did a great job keeping her top loose and bottoms fitted while adding polka dots for interest.

This girl cares about balance and pattern. She keeps the whole outfit neutral and fitted but adds bulk with a chunky scarf.

Again, here is a pattern and a pop of bright beautiful pink. Wow. I love it!
