Gilmore!

Are you a Gilmore Girls fan? I am. A huge one! I owned all 7 seasons after the series finished in 2006. I'm roughly the same age as the daughter, Rory so it was really fun growing up with her through high school and college. When I heard my favorite mother daughter team were coming to Netflix I did a jig!

Fall Fashion: Coming Along

FAAAALLLLLLL, where are you???? I've been waiting very patiently all summer for this favorite season of mine to begin. Now that it has arrived, I'm anxious to get on with this thing already. However, in 85 degree heat, I've not been able to pull out my boots quite yet.

This sparkly tank top from Banana Republic is one of my favorites but can be a little warm so I like to wear it with only a thin sweater over it. I was at a Beth Moore conference in an air conditioned room all day so this lightly layered ensemble was perfect.

Farwell Summer!

I'm going to tell the truth right from the start. I LOVE FALL!!! It's very easy for me to say goodbye to summer because of my overwhelming longing for Autumn and all things pumpkin. I just swapped out my summer wardrobe for fall. All my sweaters, blazers, anything mustard, plum, olive, black, brown, navy and plaid. Yes!

These are a few of my favorites from last year.

Dress refashion

I bought this dress H&M from Goodwill this month. I figured I'd wash it before I started making alterations and it came out way shrunken!!! I originally planned to tailor it and call it a day but it was way too short after the wash. I racked my brain trying to figure out how not to let the purchase go to waste and then I thought, Hey! I'll make this bad boy into a skirt.

 After

Don't mind the huge red shirt and slippers!

Have you ever saved a project that was totally unexpected?

New hair!

Here is the debut of my new dooooooo! I cut off five inches so that was a huge change for me. I had my hair shorter a few years ago but didn't like the specific cut so never really did much to it. This time, I had a Pinterest picture with me as inspiration.

Falling for Fall

I'm slowly making a list of lovely things for fall. These are up there on my list of fall purchases. Seeing as how I'm only letting myself spend $50 per month for the rest of the year, I will be hard pressed to see any of these pieces jump into my closet, but I can dream!

Navy and Polka Dots for Fall will be amazing!
PJs $75
These booties are flat enough for my liking and look extremely comfortable.
Booties $150

This sweater from Boden would be such a cute addition to my closet. I think the detail on the collar is amazing!
Peter Pan Collar $75

This dress from Boden would be perfect for fall. I love the color and the length. Everything!
Boden  On sale $125

These are the boots I would get if I had unlimited funds. They are great quality, something I'm looking for more of in my life, but they are a little out of my price range.
Tory Burch Boots $500

Ok this is a total splurge too but it's soooo pretty.
Tory Burch purse  $300

I need some new ankle booties to replace the ones I bought last year at Forever 21. The zippers broke right away so...yeah... I need to stop buying cheap stuff.
Shopbop $150
I love the cut and fit of these pants. Perfect for billowey blouses and drapey sweaters.
The Limited $70

These two pieces are actually purchasable from a budgetary standpoint.

I am totally in love with the color navy and the cut of this blouse is very flattering on my body type. I don't have one that ties like this so I would really love to get this one.
H&M $25

This sweater is nothing like I own already. I love the fall colors and bits of faux leather. It also looks more expensive than it is.
H&M $40

What are some of your fall favorites?
