I am a Christian. Woohoo! I accepted Jesus Christ at a camp when I was eight years old. I attended Calvary Baptist Church from age eight until a year after I married my husband, Jonathan. Now we attend Journey of Faith Church in Manhattan Beach, CA.
Katelyn. My love. She was born February 23, 2012 at 8:55pm. 7 lbs, 9.5 oz of pure cuteness. I had a c-section and wasn't able to hold her right away, but got to touch her feet and hands while she was screaming at the top of her lungs in Jonathan's arms. Instant love. We were properly introduced in the recovery room where the nurse laid her on my chest for some skin to skin contact. Katelyn was still wailing but became calm as our skin touched. It was so precious. I'm hooked on this little one.
I am no fashionista but I am a fan of trying to look cute as a new mom. Pregnancy changes your outlook on how you dress. Body parts shift or stuff that didn't used to jiggle now jiggles. It is definitely an adjustment. I started reading a few style blogs from links on Pinterest and decided to start my own. I'm a modest dresser and recently started sewing. One of my first projects was a lace slip/dress extender.
I'm a vegetarian and I love it. I was never a big meat eater anyway, so cutting it out all together was no big deal for me. Growing up, I never liked ham or seafood, and I only ever had the occasional burger. Chicken was my thing, but I got food poisoning three times so, I had to cut it loose. I wouldn't go back.
Since 2010ish I have been on Pinterest. You can follow me here. I like to pin outfit ideas, recipes, DIY, (now that I actually have a sewing machine) mom stuff, and things that make me laugh out loud, inappropriately.
